Yaron was born on October 27, 1960 to Rama and Yehosuah Zamir and was the youngest brother to Tamar, Gilad, and Naomi.

On July 6, 1982 Yaron died in the fight on the Beaufort Fortress during the first Lebanon War, following just behind his officer as a part of the Golani Brigade. 

After his death all the letters he ever received where found meticulously organized, as well as a journal with songs that he wrote throughout the years. He wrote the song below when he was 14 years old.
